Our Leaders
Rev. Gurmit S. Jassal is the Senior Pastor of Canaan Church Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is an ordained minister with The Assemblies of God of Malaysia.
He comes from a Punjabi Sikh family, who made the decision to follow Jesus during his teenage years. He is passionately committed to the cause of Christ and loves seeing people fulfilling their God given purpose and living up to their potential.
Our Pastor: Rev. Gurmit S. Jassal
With 34 years of Christian ministry experience, he is very much involved in church ministry and social services. His strength lies in preaching, teaching, mission, pastoral care, evangelism, bringing a fresh touch of the Holy Spirit to the Body of Christ.
With a wonderful blend of wisdom and humor, his practical, uncompromising and straight to heart preaching and teachings have led him to minister in family camps, youth camps, leadership conferences, marriages seminars, evangelistic crusades, revival meetings and more.
With a contagious zest for life, he passionately believes in the potential of all people and is truly devoted to the Cause of Christ. His desire is to impart values on humanity, and to see healthy men and women emerge across the landscape of the Church. In this course of time, the Lord opened a door for him to travel and minister in many nations.
He is happy married to Celina Joseph and currently resides in Kuala Lumpur, with their four children Kendric Jit Jassal, Sonia Ann Jassal and Roshan Nes Jassal and Joash Aja Jassal.
